One of the big changes is that a lot of my newer photo's, as Alpha_DSF had pointed out, don't really have as much meaning behind them as they used to. I have changed this accordingly.
Also, I have seen that my comments have steadily gotten more and more generic for each upload. I have thus begun writing Prose to go with each shot. Thus far, it has worked very well...
Another big thing I saw was that I was beginning to get a bit cockywith myself. Almost to the point of gloating. I have tried to change that as well...
Overall, You could say that I have become a new person since the start of the New Year; And to be honest, I like the new Reeses2150. As do many others. I have nothing else to say about how I have changed, as you may all simply observe for yourselves...

Photography Update:

Batch 01/03/2005
On The Road Again 02---Img
Just Beyond The Fence---Img
Silohuette 06---Img
Casting Shadows---Img After a good run, I think it's about time that I left WMP skinning, at least temporarily. As many have noticed, if they followed my WMP skins, that I have slowly but surely moved from graphical element to the coding element, and I've seen that a lot of people are into WMP skins BECAUSE of the graphical aspect. So, after Project GSI, I think that I'm going to stop making WMp skins. I will still act as a consultant, answering any and all questions anyone has about WMP skinning; and if the opperotunity arises, you may see a collab skin from mye and someone else. But for now at least, I will not make any more skins on my own.

(I have officially Ran out of Quotes for the week. So, just to let people now this...)

New Years EVOLUTON

Everyone tries to make new years resolutions, I don't. I just change myself a bit each year, instead of making promises to better myself, I just try new things out. That's just what I do...

Either way, this entry is LONG overdue, and so I have to fill you in on everything that's happened. First, the reasons why I have not posted anything in the past 11 days is because I have been away from a comp with good internet acess, I have been playing with the christmas gifts I have gotten, My parents are doing the yearly relatives visitaions, and I've been busy installing a NEW COMP (Finally, I'll talk more about it later...). So basically, I haven't had the chance, but I have not stopped my photography.

In photography, I've reflected upon my style, and looked at a few of thew more famous photographers. What I have realized is that the most well known, well recieved, and best type of photography is Black and White Conceptual photography. You know that stuff, Close ups of things like faucets and crap. I'm not going to change my style in any way, but I'm going to try taking a few of the classic B&W shots, to see if I'd be any good at it...

Completely Random and Generic Updates:
New hair style. No longer do I just brush my hair back. I'll upload a shot sometime soon.

X-Mas gifts:
New Comp.
Need For Speed Underground 2 for GC.
Magnetic dartboard, don't ask...
and clothing.

NEW COMP:
Compaq Persario.
2.5 Ghz processor.
CDRW.
Embedded ports for USB, Flash, SD, and any 0oyther type of memory card you can think of.
Firewire enabled. I'm trying to stay humble, but to be honest, I can't help but feel almighty and powerful. Either way, I've been getting better and better, and I don't think I'm ever going to really stop. I shall try my best not to become egotistical though.

Photography/Art News:

Something's Missing...---Img
On Schedule---Img
Keep On Truckin' 02---Img
Towering 03---Img (3 comments 1 fav)
The Motion Of The Wind---Img (7 Comments Personal Fav Batch Fav)
The Burning Sky 02---Img (4 Comments 1 Fav)
POWER---Img (Personal Fav)
Industrial Sunrise 05---Img (2 Comments Personal Fav)

To let everyone know ahead of time, On the 19th, I went out with my camera and tripod and finally went on a "photo-walk". No destination of purpose other than to find picture opperotunities and get them. I'll tell you now, I took easily over 160 shots, and I'm probably going to upload at least a few dozen of them. I started off at my house, went down to west avenue for a minute, then went down to the waterfront. If anyone knows the Sewaren area, they know it's right next to the river. So I go down, and I walk down the entire length from the first dock (which is old and abandoned) all the way to the second dock (which is an active public area). Then, I went back down West Ave, and went back home. It was a great "experiance", and I got a lot out of it, both in photo's and in techniques. I'll say now, that a lot of the shot's I took on the second dock look a lot like Roninsindre's [link] .

Besides photography, I, for no apparent reason, recently got back to work on project GSI. For those who don't remember, GSI was a Windowsd Media Player skin with embedded games. I started work on it again, and I think I might finish it this time...

Quote Of The Week:
Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker. - William Wonka.

PHOTOGRAPHY!!!

Basically, that's the only way to describe this week.
First off, yes the 10th was my B-day, I am 17 now. He taught me a few tricks with the manual settings, and gave a me a few tips that I hadn't come up with yet on my own. Hopefully, they will help me get better quality shots. By quality, I mean "Not Grainy".

Also, on the 13th, I was really "In The Mood" for photography, and I probably took about 70-80 shots withing a 6 hour period. I've uploaded one of them, with a few older ones. But tomorrow (12/15/04) Expect at least 7-a dozen shot's to be uploaded.

Quote Of The Week:
When All Else Fails, GOOGLE IT!! - Reeses2150: Geek

Finally...

On the 29th of Nov, I had my camera returned to my by my father. I can bring my camera to school and back, but I need to keep it in my backpack during class, hence the optomism. This then caused some insecurity, confusion, and general tension concerning my Camera.) and at home (My Parents did not want me to take my camera to school every day due to the aforementioned. Especially due to the fact that they KNOW that photography is my way of life/a part of my life/one of the only things that I'm good at, that gets me recognition, and is the ONE THING that allows me to express my creativity.

Skinning/Art News:

11-14-04
Power Lines

The Trash

Might As Well Be Midnight...

Commercialism

11-17-04
After A Hard Days Work...

A World In Motion 02

and A Tangled Mess.

Since My camera is gone for the next 2 weeks, these will be the last NEW shots for a while. I take a lot of photo's from my school bus on the way to and from school. I take the shots from inside the bus, the camera pointing outside the window. Now, that being said, my taking pictures is supposedly pissing other people off on the bus. I don't know why, as I'm not photographing them too much, and it doesn't affect them in any way, but they still complained to the driver. So now I am forced to shoot in secret, trying to hide the camera so nobody sees it. >_>...

Besides that though, I have definitely come into my own in photography. I've just been getting better and better. My 4 latest shots are pretty damn good accorcding to my reviewer. Since I am a "Script-Kid", and not a lab rat, I don't really know what happens with the hardware. I thus turned to my father, who compared to me, is a big lab-rat. He says that the Fat partition table had been blown up, and even being a software-boy, I knew what that meant. So after repeated and failed attempts to recover the data, my fadda used norton disk doctor, and I was able to recover 75% of the data 3 days later. Only thing is, I had already scoured through all of my random burned data CD's, and found about 50% of the data, before I recovered the disk. So that was great...

Either way. I can't explain it, but I've been getting feelings of "I shouldn't have come here today." and "Something just doesn't feel right.". I've been getting these vibes ever since I stepped foot in the school today. The scary thing is, I've asked 2 others, who also are getting the same type of vibes. Alpha says that as soon as he got into the school, he felt like killing everybody and he also felt that something wasn't right. I also asked Stealth Phoenix (My Alter Ego), and he couldn't figure out what was wrong, but he was also getting the same feeling that something was wrong. This has kept me on my toes, and I am unsure of what might happen, but I KNOW that something will happen. I just don't know what, when, how, or why...

On a lighter note, I went to SFGA (Six Flags: Great Adventure) on Sunday. Let me be very direct, it sucked (comparing it to what it would have been like at any other them park.). First off, we spent 6 hours there and this is the tally of what we did. We say 4 shows, and I was able to get on the Rotor, the StuntMans Freefall, and Nitro. That's it. Besides that fact, it seems that fright fest just keeps getting worse every year. The Houdini's Escape was closed (It's become a tradition to ride the Houdini at fright fest), and nothing else was really that special, other than the Side-show/friek-show. Fright fest isn't what it used to be...

Another thing that has happened is that I have recently begun to install a new HD into my comp, a 20gig maxtor. Looking back, I did a few things wrong. What I did was, I copied what I wanted off of my extra drive, then took it out. I put the new hd in, installed Windows, and formatted it, and now I am having troubles copying data from the old drive. I now realize that I should have backed up the old drive onto the temporary one I removed, then go into copying the files.

Skinning/Art News:
Nothing, for once...

Quote Of The Week:
I reject your reality, and substitute my own. - Adam Savage

New Art Genre Invaded

I have begun submitting art to the 3D section of DA. After a long time, I finally got around to doing it. For each 3D submission, I uploaded the .dwg file so that all whom have autocad can look at it for themselves, and the big preview image for all others.
I have been in an architecture course since my sophmore year, and now into my Junior year. In the class, we use a little well-known product called AutoCAD 2004 edition. We have learned how to use it for drafting, and we have taught ourselves how to use 3D modeling and rendering. I have been honing my 3D skills for almost a year now, and have reached my peak.
I have been working with Alpha_DSF, [link] , to render these (I draw the models from scratch, and he renders them. For those who don't understand rendering; I make all the wireframes, make all of the polygons, and color them. Then Alpha comes in behind me and puts images for eachof the polygons, puts in the lighting, and makes it look good.). We have been working well as a team, and btw, all of the 3D things I upload will be my work only, alpha will upload what he rendered later to his account. The only problem isd that, now, our teacher is taking away a lot of our free time, so we won't be anble do do any 3D work. Hopefully, this shall change, but probably not. Life sucks, then you die...

Quote Of The Week:
I don't understand vegetarians, and I'll never become one. A Kodak EasyShare, 4.1 mp camera for $300.
I have been experimenting with it for the past 2 days almost constantly, and am getting used to it. I am slightly disappointed, because half of the fun of the old camera was taking crappy images and making them look good. I've got to get used to not needing to use photoshop for my photography. Another thing I need to get used to is the larger image size. I'm so used to small images, I'm actually trying to use only the 2.1 mp format rather than the full 4.1
Either way, I've been expirimenting and I think that once I get used to it, you can expect some really good shots...

Skinning/Art News:
Also in the world of art, I am diving headlong into the 3D Rendering. I've already made PLAENTY of renders, and will hopefully start batch uploading them to deviantart soon. I have been challenged by one of my friends to make a 3D model of Princess Peach's Castle from Super Mario 64. After only about an hour or two of work, it already looks like the castle. Either way, I've formed a very interesting team with a friend of mine/classmate. Alpha, http://alpha_dsf.deviantart.com/ I've made a team with him. It works surprisingly well, as it plays to both our skills. I am skilled at wireframing and designing the models themselves, Alpha's good at rendering them and making them look good. Hopefully, you will see us soon on Deviantart.

Quote of the Week:
Emerald Nuts Ownz Your Nipples - Reeses2150

New Art Genre 4 me.

Absolutely nothing interesting to report about in my normal life, other than that I've gotten a new 20 gig HD and am waiting for an opperotunity to install it. Only thing differant about now than then, is that I have PROOF that my parents are crazy. I forgot to shut down my computer and turn it off as I went into another room to watch TV. My father comes into my room to open the windows, and sees my computer on. He's EXTREMELY right wing - conservative, so he gets pissed. Now, what any NORMAl parent will do is hit the power button, find me, and scold me. He doesn't even hit the power button, he just goes to the back, and rips the power cable out of the comp, unplugs it, and takes it into his room. If that's not crazy ENOUGH, he gives it back to me 10 minutes later. Soi in effect, he could have put across exactly the same message if he had merely turned off the power and scolded me. But He's nuts...

Skinning/Art news:
I've uploaded an ALPHA version of GSI here, and on customize.org . I've halted that though, as I'm hitting a block on the Playlist. I've also uploaded a re-hash of an old photo from the Cruise Ship.

Quote of the Week:
If I've learned one thing from watching Star Trek, it's to never wear a red shirt. - Reeses2150: TOS Junkie

Whoa...

I completely forgot about this and my DA journal. One of these skins has been Project GSI. The novelty skin featuring games coded directly into the skin. I've been working on that for the past month or more, and I will soon upload an alpha version. Another skin I've been working on is Tokyo Matrix 2. I just started it, and no, it will not just be a re-hash of the first, I've started redesigning it from the ground up. I just started on that onbe though, so don't expect it to come out too soon. Besides those 2, I have been working on a few more skins, but not so much.

I uploaded a few more photo's onto deviantart. Like I said, I got bored that day and went on a photo run on my bike. I took at least a dozen pics, and uploaded 3. Dumpsters Perspective 01 and The Local Deli

Besides those, on the 1st, I tried my hand at my first from scratch, non photo wallpaper. Based on the NYC Taxi's, It started off well. I worked on it for about a week, then I stopped when I ran out of things/ideas to put into it. And I can't upload it because it's just too empty. But keep an eye out for that...

Quote of the Week:
Did you know it was a year ago today? - Jay London.

The Ballgame...

Today was, wierd to say the least. First off, I felt a bit rebelious and had some "collage-student-fun". Putting foil and CD's in the microwave, and other things that I don't want my parents to find out by reading this. That was a good time though.
Then, I went to the Somerset Patriots game. For once, I had a good time. Dancin' Bill, the local hero whom We believe the imfamous Six Flags commercials were based off of, had come back out of his dancing "Retirement", which lasted for almost a year, and was once again leadin' the kids in Cotten-Eyed-Joe and the infamous song FROM the six flags commercials in the Home-Run celebrations. I was right there with him, I have recieved a reputation as his faithful sidekick, always being known to bust a few moves at every home-run and Cotten-Eyed-Joe playings. Tonight was no exception, as I once again strut my stuff for the fans. Every time I go out though, I end up hurting something, this time my right ankle; but hey, 'tis all for the experiance... And it's a good time to be had by all, the Patriots FINALLY WIN ONE! I've burned up pretty much all of my wil to work on things and have run out of inspiration. But I will get back to work when I can. Probably when school begins, is when I will start up once again. I'm currently working on a Taxi themed Wallpaper, a Novelty WMP skin, and another sketch of my alter Ego: Stealth Phoenix.

Quote of the Week:
Without Art, the world would be a blank canvas... - Reeses2150

Greyscale uploaded and reviewed

Nothing really new other than some buisness to report.

Skinning/Art News:
Greyscale has been uploaded, and I've gotten a few comments on it. Pretty much what I expected, criticism on the graphics, and commendation on the coding. What I didn't expect was the compliments on the style, people love the layout of it. I wasn't ready for that. I got enough cc that I may make a second version, but for now, I'll wait.
The reason why I need to wait, I'm working on a new original concept, I'm currently working on a noveklty skin which has a number of video games coded into the skin. Like I care. I obviously prefer the X-Games. Don't get me wrong, the olympics are good for proving which country got the best athletes, but the sports have pretty much stayed the same since 1980. They desperately need an update. It doesn't matter, either way the downstairs TV has been deemed "off limits", as it is being used 24/7 to record the olympic events. Oh joy of Joys...

Skining/Art News:
Just today, I finished both the code, and the graphics on project Greyscale. I'm waiting before I upload it though, as I want to test it and look for bugs so that I don't need to update. Either way, I just keep improving in my skills with every new skin. I'm becoming a machine. We saw the first Body Varial in Moto-X best trick (Awesome), the first showing of Jeremy Mc in Moto-X, we saw a new record in the Skateboard Big-Air, and the East Coast wins the surfing competition (EAST COAST PRIDE Y'ALL!!!). We didn't see the double-backflip in Moto-X, because Pastrana fell on that F****** 360 in the prelims. "Non-interactive" shows include Magic shows, stand up comedy shows, and music. All of the events I went to (intro comedy show, magic show, newlywed competition) were very comic and definitely better the any six flags show without pyrotecnics. Others include art auctions, dance clubs, kareoke, bingo, talent shows, tournaments for everything from video games to trivia, charades, scavenger hunts, etc. Similar to what you'll find at the local birthday party, only 3x better (less embarrasing and more entertaining).

Food:
Free pizza, burgers, hot dogs, and chicken 24 hours. And restraunt breakfast and dinners. Some of the best cheeseburgers you'll ever lay your tounge upon. Everything else is good. Fine dining in the dinner restaraunts.Drinks:Free if you have a soda card. Since I'm not 18 yet, I can't try the liquor, but the soda's are exactly what you would expect. Straight from the can. Just be sure to ask for no ice...

Overall rating: 6.75 - 10
Drive down to Myrtle beach instead...Fun, but if you're unwilling to spend a lot of money you'll find yourself walking around aimlessly and sitting at the bars and pizza stall. Here's the quick lowdown on theprices on the cruise.

Free:
Ice Cream
Food
Drinks (If you have a soda card)

Not Free:
Everything else. (Internet access = $24.00 per hour, Arcade games = $1.00 per play, etc.)

When I arrive back home on tuesday I will give a full report.

Awesome News:
Literally about 30 minutes ago, while I was trying to log onto the comps in the internet lounge, I met someone with a G-Mail account. I talked to her, I didn't have to ask the question, she asked me if I wanted an Invite to G-Mail. I am now Stealth.Phoenix@Gmail.com SWEETNESS!!!

Skinning/Art News:
Inspiration for some sketches has come to me on the ship. I'm currently going to try drawing a mermaid, a dolphin, a beach scene, and some more crap. I will upload them all to deviantart on tuesday.

Quote of the Week:
It is better to relish joyfull moments in their infancy than to prolong them and make a fool of yourself or destroy the mood. - Good Times

Steady as a rock...

Well, I'm finally going to be going somewhere for the Summer Vacation. It appears that my family has booked a cruise for us to go on. No I don't have any details yet, but when I do get them I will post them on deviantart. Either way, we will be leavin in less than a week, and we will be gone for about a week. So for the extremely small amount of people that are actually interewsted in my artwork, stories, and other crap, I will not be able to upload for a week.
Sure, I'm excited about going, but being the nuetralistic realist that I am, I see the good points and the bad points evening out into just another week. I'll have a good time and (hopefully) meet a few chicks (maybe even get lucky. Wait. No, that's a near impossibility), but then again, I can't do anything online or anything on my pc (Since myparents are too cheap to get me a F****** LAPTOP!). Either way, I'll just keep living life as I always do, day by day.

Skinning/Art News:
I have gotten back into my drawing. I am currently working on a shark, another Phoenix Project, a pinstripe Dragon, and someother stuff. I have decided to stop skinning for a while, as I have been getting bored of it.

Quote of the Week:
It is better to debate a question without settling it, than it is to settle a question without debating it. - Opposing Viewpoints
